An enquiry does not confirm an engagement. Before work begins, we agree the organization, policy set, documents, word volume, fixed wording, materials, price, applicable tax treatment, format and dates in writing.
Editing packages
Focused edit: CAD 320; 1 document · up to 1,500 words; clear structure and plain language; 1 round of revisions; delivery target of 4 business days. Marked edits, clean copy and clarification questions are included.
Policy set edit: CAD 740; Up to 3 documents · 4,000 words in total; editing and a working terminology list; 2 rounds of revisions; delivery target of 7 business days. Marked edits, clean copy and clarification questions are included.
Consistency edit: CAD 1,390; Up to 6 documents · 8,000 words in total; editing, terminology list and cross-document notes; 2 rounds of revisions; delivery target of 11 business days. Marked edits, clean copy and clarification questions are included.
Amounts are in Canadian dollars for the listed scope. The written quote confirms the total and applicable tax treatment before commitment. Each package covers one organization, one policy set and one English version.
Documents and word volume
The complete clean documents count toward the word limit, including unchanged passages, headings and table text. Editing notes, clarification questions and terminology lists are excluded.
Policy set edit and Consistency edit include a working terminology list. Consistency edit also includes cross-document notes. The editable format and method of showing changes are confirmed before work begins.
Meaning and approval
The edit uses the current documents and the meaning supplied or confirmed by the client. Duties, permissions, conditions and exceptions are retained. Ambiguous passages are raised as questions rather than resolved by introducing a new rule.
The policy owner answers those questions, reviews the final version and approves its content and use.
Editorial scope
The packages do not include legal advice, regulatory interpretation, compliance certification, policy creation from scratch, translation, graphic design or publication. Any specialist review required by the organization is arranged separately.
Revisions and changes
A revision round is one set of consolidated comments within the agreed documents and volume. New documents, changed policy rules or additional words require an agreed scope and quote before being incorporated.
Delivery
Delivery targets begin after confirmation and receipt of complete materials. Availability and the delivery date are agreed before editing starts. Time awaiting client answers or approval is outside the editing period. Scope changes may require an agreed date adjustment.
Payment and cancellation
Payment arrangements and cancellation terms are agreed in writing before confirmation. The website does not process online payments.
Materials and confidentiality
The sharing method and confidentiality arrangements are agreed before sensitive documents are exchanged. Provide only material you can share for the engagement and limit unnecessary personal information.
